Prince Harry will not be shipped to combat duty in Iraq or so goes the official announcement

In a sudden change of Policy of fhe British Military Prince Harry the third in line to the British thrown will not be deployed to Iraq. This reversal has raised many eyebrows in many circles as to the real reason for this announcement now. Many doubt its veracity as  Harry himself said in no uncertain terms he would resign his commission if he would not be allowed to go into combat. He has not announced any resignation and sources close to the military say that Harry is indeed headed to Iraq. Then why this fictitoous announcement? It’s all very simple.

Prince Harry's presence in Iraq would give anti-British militants in Iraq much motivation to capture or kill a heir to the British throne. It would be an incredible moral blow to the British empire. Its ramifications would be difficult to gauge as no member of the royal family has been killed in combat in modern times. It’s not clear how this apparent charade will be presented. The British military is going to extreme lengths to convince everyone of  the sincerity of this military decision.

One thing seems very clear. The only real positive image of the British involvement in Iraq would be an Image of Harry in a heroic pose with his troops. If something should happen to Harry while there or worse if insurgents could actually get to Harry it would be the biggest moral blow to the west since 9/11.

There is much a stake here, its going to be interesting
