Wire services -There seems to be conflicting reports on whether The head of the Palestinian authority Abu Mazen will meet with the head of the Hamas Chalad Mashel in Damascus Today. Whatever happens the turmoil in the Palestinian authority has reached epic proportions with clashes that have claimed lives. No one including the Palestinians really knows what is to happen with the mini-civil war that is being waged in the Palestinian authority, time may tell. Many anylists believe that here is little hope for real reconciliation betwen the groups as the Fatah branch is seen as collabrating with the west and Israel and Hamas refuses to even tacitly recognize Israels right to exist.

In Israel most people do not believe that any real agreement is in the offing with any group, the concensus being another round of war is likely.
