Spitzer has been spit out of the Governers mansion PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 13 March 2008

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer announces resignation.

In one of the most publicized sex scandals in recent memory the Governor of New York resigns. The Harvard and Princeton graduate was a political meteor that some thought would only end in the White House. They were wrong.

The woman involved is Ashley Alexandra Dupre who sold her body to pay for living expenses that included rent in the prestigious Chelsea landmark hotel in Manhattan. The rents start there at $3500 a month for a studio apartment. She allegedly received $4300 for each encounter with Spitzter. It’s not clear how much of that money she made or how much the Pimp who ran the establishment made. What is abundantly clear is the incredible embarrassment of a man who was elected to be governor because of such a high moral code that he allegedly adhered to. It is unclear how the governor had the time and energy to invest in hiding his indiscretions rather than spending that time working for New York. Her Pimp Mark Brener with some colleagues started and ran a very exclusive high class Brothel through the website of the agency.

Some have expressed public sympathy for Spitzer including Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. Mr. Spitzer has brazenly and wantonly betrayed the public trust, he does not deserve any sympathy. As a former Distract attorney who closed down a number of prostitution rings he literally can be called the ultimate hypocrite. Governor Spitzer has taken New York for a ride and destroyed his career in the process. He has heavily damaged the credibility of the law enforcement agencies in the public eye. People will now doubt even more the integrity of the District attorneys office and those who work in it.  He has caused almost irreparable damage to a system that needs public trust to function properly.

He deserves Jail time not sympathy.
