The Pack won’t be back At least as far as Brett Favre is concerned He has had enough. One of the greatest players of all time Brett Favre has decided to retire from pro football. This prolific quarterback that owns almost every record worth holding doesn’t want to play football anymore. His exuberance and youthful antics on the field together with a rare talent made him a fan favorite. He also won a Super bowl XXXI against the Patriots in 1997. He has won 3 MVPS and has the record as an iron horse player with 253 consecutive regular seasons starts. Just last year he led his team the Green Bay Packers to the NFC title game which the Pack lost in overtime to the New York Giants. He retires with 5,377 career completions in 8,758 attempts, with 61,655 yards and 442 touchdowns. He also has the dubious record for most interceptions at 288. It is not an exaggeration to say any team starting if given the choice of whom to take would take Brett Favre. In truth many were surprised at his decision as he had a great year last year. Who knows maybe he will come back for an encore. That won’t be a surprise. |
