Patriots become Patsies.

In an upset that many felt was coming the New England Patriots wiped away a magical season by losing to the New York Giants in Superbowl  XLII. The Pats were playing terrible football of late lucky to get by the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Championship game Tom Brady had 3 interceptions in that game but the Pats won Anyway. They seemed to have peaked at the wrong time sometime in the middle of the season when they were destroying many opponents. Everyone said it would be close to impossible to maintain high playing intensity for so long and they were right. They looked bad very bad. The crazy part was that they almost won anyway. They clearly looked a vanquished team hoping a miracle would help them win the game. There were a number of teams that come to mind that completely dominated other teams on the way to Championships. The 84 Bears the 72 Dolphins to name a few, those were great teams  The Patriots did not look like a Championship team.

It’s just a football game.
