Police raid offices looking for evidence against Prime Minister of Israel

Israeli Prime Minister presses on despite incredible obstacles

There has not been a elected leader in the free world that has had the problems in office as the Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert. They are almost too many to list. I will offer a partial list.

!. He was elected after a former Prime Minister had a massive stroke and never seen

as a true candidate on his own right.

Soon after assuming office a war from Lebanon completely surprised and embarrassed   Israel. This war was seen as a direct outcome of Israeli policy of unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

  1.   Olmert, a former Jerusalem mayor, is suspected of having arranged an illicit discount on a house he bought in the city.
  2.  He is further under investigation over allegations of bid-rigging and cronyism while serving as industry minister.
  3. He has a very rickety coalition that threatens to bolt if any real substance issues are discussed in an upcoming peace conference in Annapolis.
  4. His rating in the Israel Public has been 1% at times
  5. He has Prostrate Cancer.

Its unclear how anyone with these and other issues can properly govern as Prime Minister. This becomes acute as extreme conflict looms with Iran in the near future.

As a latest development a number of government offices have been raided by police in search of evidence on the different criminal charges being alleged against Olmert.

Olmert might do himself a favor by resigning.
