Amazing new service from Google 1-800-goog-411

Google is has launched yet another great service called 1-800-goog-411

It’s a terrific service that gives mobile and landline user’s search options.

If you have just landed somewhere and need a restaurant or cab or anything you dial the toll free Google number. Google then decides which business is closest or best suited and directly connects you to the business. This is all based on a previous Google program, Google maps. If you go into Google maps and do a search for sporting goods store in Seattle Washington you will receive a list of results. If you call 1-800-goog-411 and ask for sporting goods in Seattle Washington you will get the very same list. The best part of all this is that it’s free, absolutely free.

This seems to be another part of Google’s long term strategy to enter the mobile phone search market. A likely scenario could be played out very soon that will be something like this.

A person dials a google mobile phone 1-800-goog-411 and asks Google where he can find a computer store to be able to use Google. It will be all free except buying the computer. You may not even need to buy the computer as your free cell phone will provide all the functions you need. These will include e-mail service and all web related services.

Its all pretty amazing.
