Google to offer free cellphone service Stop laughing I am not kidding We have become accustomed to the fact that cell phone services cost money; Google says it does not have to be that way. To prove its point Google will launch free cell phone service if it successfully acquires highly sought after frequencies that the FCC is planning on offering. This 700-megahertz wireless band has been referred to as the “last beachfront property “in the radio spectrum. Analysts are lauding the FCC’s decision to make these frequencies available as this will likely open the mobile phone industry to healthy competition. Hey, free service should shake up the competition! You might then ask HOW THE HELL WILL GOOGLE MAKE MONEY ON FREE CELL PHONE SERVICE???? Ads ads and more ads. Google will use its model of targeted ads for the mobile phone market. Leave it to Google to make billions on a free phone service Let the auction begin and as consumers let’s hope that Google wins |
