Linkedin and web 2.0

Everybody is talking about the Web 2.0 internet revolution but not all really understand what it’s all about.

A great example of what web 2.0 does today is the linkedin Social media program. It is a truly unique program that is totally free (there is a paid version with more options)

This program allows people to network in many different and varied ways. After  signing up you begin inviting and linking to other people. If they agree you can access their contacts and by doing so expand your own network. In fact you can even contact the contacts of your contacts by simply asking your contacts to send them a message.

It is very important to have at least twenty contacts to access the entire spectrum of services that are offered. After you have established this contact list of at least twenty people the program gives many interesting features. You can do a search based on names jobs or answers. The names option will search the over 12 million users for the name you have chosen. The job option will search thru al the job offers that have been placed on the program based on the keywords used. These results are of high quality because the users of this type of program should be offering jobs of high quality. The answers section is relatively new and focuses on the different experts on the linkedin program.

This program covered in this article is a good example of where the internet is going, its going towards social media in leaps and bounds.

There are hundreds if not thousands of new websites out there that attempt to connect people in the most varied interesting ways. Web 2.0 is the way that people will decide what type of content and what type Social business grouping is best

It’s a very exciting time as venture capital companies are investing very heavily in these web 2.0 companies as they are seen as the future money makers. There are some pessimistic voices that claim that this is a bubble on its way to burst but they seem to be drowned out by the euphoria of the day.

Hey this article itself is a part of a very big project that is based on the web 2.0 model.

Welcome.
